The Pittsburgh Penguins wasted little time this offseason in re-signing two important free agents who helped guide them to their first Stanley Cup in 17 years. Yesterday, the Pittsburgh Penguins re-signed veteran winger Billy Guerin to a one-year deal worth $2 million. That means Guerin will be taking a $2.5 million pay cut to stay with the Penguins. The Penguins also worked out a two-year deal with Craig Adams worth $550,000 each year. Adams was picked up off of waivers from the Chicago Blackhawks last season and played on the Pens fourth line. Adams also took a pay cut from his salary last season. The Pens still have a number of free agents to sign before the July 1st deadline.
