Competing in the WPIBL regionals at North Versailles Bowl this weekend, the Butler team finished third overall out of 18 teams. Hempfield was first with a team score of 3955, Penn Hills was second with 3932, and Butler ended with a score of 3858. Butler ended the day with the highest "Baker" format score of 212. The top six teams from Western Pennsyvlania advance to the State competition, along with six Eastern qualifiers. The State finals will be held next week at North Versailles Bowl. Congratulations to the Butler Bowlers: Hope Griffith, Nicole Balk, Ashely Hevesy, Autumn Helper and Brea Suchonic. Out of all of the competing bowlers, Butler's Nicole Balk had the second highest single of the day with a 235, and Hope Griffith had the third highest series.
