The Pittsburgh Steelers were very active signing free agents Monday. The Steelers also signed the pair of free agent players who visited Monday. The most surprising was safety Ryan Clark inking a four-year $14 million deal. Both players are special team stand-outs and have signed three-year deals. Safety Will Allen, a 4th round draft pick in 2004 from Ohio State, and a six-year pro, was Tampa Bay's special team captain in 2008. He missed most of the Buccaneers season in 2009 due to injury. The Steelers also signed wide receiver Arnaz Battle, who played seven seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. Last season he was their primary punt returner. Battle was a sixth-round draft pick out of Notre Dame in 2003. The Steelers may not be finished either. Reportedly former wide receiver Antwaan Randle-El will visit today and may sign a contract to return. Randle-El was released by Washington last week. The Steelers also have reached an agreement with offensive lineman Jonathon Scott. Scott started eight games with Buffalo last season.
