The Butler BlueSox righted the ship yesterday with a 5-3 win over the Richmond River Rats in Richmond. The Sox got a solid pitching performance from James Podgorney who went six innings and gave up only one run on four hits. Podgorney is now 3-0 on the season with a 2.21 ERA. Brian Youchak led the Sox offensively going two-for-four and picking up two RBIs while Brian Billigen went three-for-five and scored two runs. The BlueSox travel to Danville tonight. The Slipper Rock Sliders also winnings last night, they beat the Chillicothe Paints by a final score of 2-1. Cory Mazzoni of the Sliders improved to 2-2 on the season after going seven and one third innings with nine strikeouts and gave up only one run on four hits. Derek Carr, Derek Diruscia and Matt Howard all recorded three hits in the win for the Sliders. The Sliders take on NorthCoast at home tonight.
