Firefighters were called to a home in the North Hills Wednesday night after lightning struck it, setting it on fire. The fire happened in Marshall Township, along Searight Drive at about 9pm. The fire caused damage to the roof and inside the house. According to Channel 11 News, neighbors say the lightning came out of nowhere before any storms or rain had moved into the area. The family inside of the house said they didn't realize that their house had been hit until a neighbor told them. This was the second house in a year in that same neighborhood to be hit by lightning. The first home was just two doors down from this one.
