A woman from Harrison Township has been charged with trying to kill her former husband.

According to today's issue of the Valley News Dispatch, 47-year-old Lisa Wikert is accused of using her car to ram from behind the motorcycle that 47-year-old Allegheny Township resident Darrin Wikert was operating.  The incident happened along Leechburg Road in Lower Burrell, where it started at Bruster's ice cream and ended at King's Family Restaurant at the New Kensington border, which is about a half mile down the road.  The altercation took place on Monday, July 12th.

Mrs. Wikert had been held at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights since the incident happened, and was released yesterday to law enforcement officers.  She's now in the Westmoreland County Prison in lieu of $900,000 bond.  She's been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment.  Her preliminary hearing is slated for Tuesday, August 10th.
