An international convention is coming to Butler County in four years. The Butler County Tourism reports that the Pyrotechnics Guild International (PGI) will meet at Coopers Lake Campground, near Portersville, in August of 2013. PGI is a worldwide organization of amateur and professional fireworks enthusiasts. Butler County Tourism estimates more than twenty thousand people will attend the convention. There will be fireworks competitions each night, with three nights of fireworks displays planned.
