A local supermarket chain is making a couple of changes to its management structure. Carole Bitter, President and CEO of Friedman's Freshmarkets, says Dale Eichenlaub is now transitional Vice President and General Manager while Jeffrey Carr has been named Deli, Bakery and Catering Supervisor. Eichenlaub retired as VP and GM in 2004, but remained as corportate secretary and a member of the board of directors. He will now resume executive duties on a transitional basis. Eichenlaub started with Friedman's in 1958. Carr has been in the grocery business since 1972 and was most recently Assistant Supervisor for the firm's Meat, Deli, Catering, Seafood and Bakery departments. Friedman's Freshmarkets has five stores in Butler County and provides supervision for the East Brady Freshmarket. The family-owned company has been in business since 1900.
