A man from the Johnstown area is accused of leaving an accident scene in the city of Butler. Police charged 29-year-old Scott Simpson after finding the SUV he'd been driving just two blocks from where Simpson smacked into a parked vehicle on Mercer Street shortly after midnight Thursday. Simpson told the cops he dropped a donut and lost control of the SUV when he reached down to get the pastry. Simpson drove to the Butler home where he's been staying - also on Mercer Street - and parked the SUV, which belongs to the people with whom he's been living.
