The Butler Area School Board held its agenda setting meeting Monday night. Among the action items taken by the board, members voted to approve an overnight band trip to the Fiesta Bowl Parade in Phoenix, Arizona from Tuesday, December 28th to Sunday, January 2nd; and a PA Junior Classical League overnight field trip to Penn State from May 21st to May 23rd. Fundraising monies will be used to pay for the trip. The board also voted to put over $1.2 million into the Butler Area Vo-Tech Budget for the coming school year, reflecting an approximate 2.2 % increase from the current year. The board also voted to adopt resolutions extending terms of the Vo-Tech School Authority and Lease, which allows the upcoming renovations at the Vo-Tech to go without any delays.
